2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the first episode, when Basil, Sybil, Manuel and Polly appeared on our TV screens at Torquay’s most chaotic hotel.
We celebrate the story of Fawlty Towers, its characters and the actors, whilst remembering the funniest moments from this timeless comedy classic.

Join us for a captivating journey through Torquay as we celebrate the story of Fawlty Towers, its characters and the actors, whilst remembering the funniest moments from this timeless comedy classic. Tours depart at 15:00pm from the Visitor Information Centre, Vaughan Parade, Torquay TQ2 5JG.

Yes, there are seating options (benches, walls) at various along the Agatha Christie and Fawlty Towers routes. But these are less frequent for the other walking routes.
The routes used for For both the Agatha Christie tour and Fawlty Tours experience are flat, paved and steps can be avoided. The other tours include steps and the terrain is uneven, so these are not suitable for guests with walking disabilities.

It’s very rare to cancel a tour. The first option is to offer a new date or time. If this doesn’t work for our guest, then a full refund will be arranged if payment has been made.
If a guest cancels their tour, at least 12 hours notice must be given to receive a full refund. No refund will be made if less than 12 hours notice is provided.
