Over 4-5 hours, guests will visit multiple locations that were important in Agatha’s life, whilst in the comfort of your coach. Weather-permitting, guests will also have the chance to stretch their legs on a flat, paved route which includes Agatha’s new bench, the Pavilion and Princess Pier, before ending at the world famous Kents Cavern for a tour of the caves, which inspired Agatha’s interest in archaeology
Torquay, often called the heart of the English Riviera, has evolved from a humble fishing village into a vibrant seaside resort since the Victorian era. For 100 years, it was one of the wealthiest towns in the UK and many buildings from that era still remain.
Its UNESCO Geopark accreditation confirms the importance of our 400-million-year-old rocks and prehistoric sites.
Torquay is renowned for its rich cultural, attracting the likes of Agatha Christie, Oscar Wilde and Charles Darwin.

The Agatha Christie English Riviera experience is a ‘must-do’ for Agatha fans, mystery lovers and history enthusiasts.
Graham will meet your guests at their accommodation and give a short presentation about Agatha. This will be followed by a 1 hour walking tour hosted by Graham, before boarding your coach and visiting key Agatha Christie landmarks in Torquay.
Our coach tour will finish at Kents Cavern (the oldest home in Britain) where guests will be taken on a private walking tour around the caves, followed by a classic Devonshire cream tea, before returning to their hotel by coach.
The English Riviera Heritage Tour follows a similar format, with a presentation from Graham at your hotel about Torquay’s fascinating history, its colourful residents and amusing anecdotes, before boarding your coach for a 1.5 hour tour of the English Riviera, stopping at key historic landmarks, followed by a private tour of Kents Cavern and a cream tea.
