This circular walk meets outside The English Riviera Tourist Information Office in Vaughan Parade, Torquay TQ2 5JG. See photo
The walk takes us past the Pavilion, along Princess Gardens and Princess Pier, towards The Grand Hotel and Torquay station, before returning via Torre Abbey, over Rock Walk and around the harbour, finishing at Haldon Pier.
For every walker that join us, £1.00 will be donated to the South West Coast Path in support of their efforts in maintaining this wonderful route.

The tour was comprehensive, but unhurried, and has whetted my appetite for more.
I'd been to Torquay several times before but really saw it in a new light this time. I hope the tourism authorities will utilise his knowledge and passion for the place and its history to help promote it to new markets.
In the meantime, if you're in Torquay - do take one of his tours. It will be a couple of hours well spent..!

Even from the time of booking Graham’s communication was excellent and we felt reassured that we had picked an excellent guide.
We discovered during the tour that Agatha Christie was buried very close to where we live, so we stopped by on our way home to finish off our trip, pay our respects and say thanks to Agatha Christie for the service she provided to the world.

Me and my family took this guided walking tour yesterday and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our guide, Graham, explained he history of the harbour as we did the 'Hidden... read more Harbour' tour. We found out that the amusement arcade was originally built to shelter sailors a big upgrade compared to the rope they were previously provided! We were given some history on the pavilion and how Agatha Christie was proposed to by a WWI fighter pilot. We laughed about the story of the hotel - Gleneagles, thankfully no longer an hotel - that inspired John Cleese to write Fawlty Towers and the traditional waiters race through the streets of Torquay!

Featuring Oscar Wilde, John Lee and Queen Victoria’s lady in waiting, to name but a few; Graham told fascinating stories whilst we walked down to and along Oddicombe Beach. The funicular railway brought us back to Babbacombe and the end of our tour. It was fun and informative and for that we highly recommend and thank Graham.
