We spent two nights in Babbacombe and did this walking tour on our first day -- but it was so good we booked a second tour for our final day.... read more The second one was the Agatha Christie themed tour and it was utterly fascinating - we learnt about every element of her life whilst seeing the beautiful sights of Torquay. The guide, Graham, was extremely friendly, informative and was full of stories that were the perfect balance of entertaining and informative. Highly recommended, whatever your fitness level.
I have just completed this absolutely excellent tour with Graham and he is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Although we started in pouring rain it added to the Agatha Christie experience,... read more but then came blue skies and I met some wonderful ladies on the tour and they were all so interesting and enjoying their short break in Torquay.
Thank you Graham for a super walk and I look forward to some of your other walking tours.
I am sitting here this evening having spent three hours with Graham this afternoon. My husband and I are still talking about this fabulous Agatha Christie walk.
From the initial... read more booking I knew it was going to be a good tour. Graham kept in touch with plans, with a checking "all still on" message the day before. We met as arranged exactly on time and having done the introductions set off. We were the only two on the talk, which meant we were able to exchange far more stories than being in a bigger group. It soon became apparent that Graham was both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. Armed with a folder of photographs and quotes we made our way along the seafront stopping to hear details of Agatha's life.
We didn't know a great deal about her as a person, mainly our knowledge came from Poirot reruns on TV. But for us, the details were exactly at the right level, enough to be interesting without being a sermon of dates and facts.
three hours flew by. We had swapped stories, deviated a bit off topic (our doing mainly!) and had quite a few laughs. Even if you are not the biggest Agatha fan you will certainly get something from this. She was definitely a very interesting woman and we have been convinced that she requires more recognition for her pioneering attitude.
We have been on very many walks in towns and cities across the world and Graham was up there with the best.
We have lived in the South Hams area for over 20 years and never really looked to Torbay. Decided to take the Babbacombe tour and so glad we did. Graham... read more is a fantastic host. Five stars Mr Kerr and we’ll be back for the Agatha Christie your and the War Walk tour with friends

Torbay at War tour
Love walking and Ive always been interested in the Second World War so Grahams' "Torbay at War" tour ticked both those boxes for myself and a... read more pal of mine. I always judge a tour by how many times you hear "wow i didn't now that" (or words to that effect) and Mark and myself uttered them on numerous occasions. Graham genuinely took us back in time and surprised us as to the high profile roll that Torquay in particular took in the war. We'll be booking another of Grahams' tours as soon as its safe to do so. Thank you Nigel
Did the Bay tour away from torquay itself but came back to do a bit of torquay on the way back though.
