I am sitting here this evening having spent three hours with Graham this afternoon. My husband and I are still talking about this fabulous Agatha Christie walk.
From the initial... read more booking I knew it was going to be a good tour. Graham kept in touch with plans, with a checking "all still on" message the day before. We met as arranged exactly on time and having done the introductions set off. We were the only two on the talk, which meant we were able to exchange far more stories than being in a bigger group. It soon became apparent that Graham was both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. Armed with a folder of photographs and quotes we made our way along the seafront stopping to hear details of Agatha's life.
We didn't know a great deal about her as a person, mainly our knowledge came from Poirot reruns on TV. But for us, the details were exactly at the right level, enough to be interesting without being a sermon of dates and facts.
three hours flew by. We had swapped stories, deviated a bit off topic (our doing mainly!) and had quite a few laughs. Even if you are not the biggest Agatha fan you will certainly get something from this. She was definitely a very interesting woman and we have been convinced that she requires more recognition for her pioneering attitude.
We have been on very many walks in towns and cities across the world and Graham was up there with the best.
Cannot recommend enough. Graham was communicative and accommodating from the outset of us enquiring about our booking.
The tour itself was educational, entertaining, well-delivered, fun and full of... read more insightful and interesting facts. Graham is clearly very passionate about the history of Christie and Torquay and his positivity comes across throughout the tour.

This is great for checking out the hidden... read more delights of Torquay such as the Osborne Hotel, Cove Beaches away from the town and the castal path towards the end is a treat but be prepared to climb some steps to enjoy the view from up high - it's worth the effort though and take your camera for some great views to snap.

Caring, friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. FULLY RECOMMEND this to everyone who enjoys walking and learning.

I work in... read more tourism and can say with confidence that Graham is a top-notch guide. He was pleasant company, and shared lots of fun, interesting, and unusual facts as well as giving great tips for places to eat etc.
The tour was comprehensive, but unhurried, and has whetted my appetite for more.
I'd been to Torquay several times before but really saw it in a new light this time. I hope the tourism authorities will utilise his knowledge and passion for the place and its history to help promote it to new markets.
In the meantime, if you're in Torquay - do take one of his tours. It will be a couple of hours well spent..!

I have just been on a walking tour called ‘Beauty of the Bay’ and what an appropriate name for it, it wasn’t a sunny day but don’t let that put... read more you off the scenery is amazing.
We met Graham (the tour guide) in Torquay Harbour for what turned out to be a very enjoyable few hours. He is very knowledgable and has an obvious passion for Torquay and the surrounding area and is full of fun facts and stories
The walk itself took us out of Torquay and along part of the coastal path, it is not quite 4 miles with a number of steps and some rough ground - my Mum who was with me is 73 and managed easily but would definitely recommend a walking pole
I am very familiar with Torquay but doing this walk definitely opened my eyes to its charm and beauty
I believe this is one of a number of tours and would 100% recommend it, I will be making a return trip to try the others
