Five stars Mr Kerr and we’ll be back for the Agatha Christie your and the War Walk tour with friends

Our tour, called 'Timeless Torquay', took us along the beautiful Torquay coastline, taking just under a couple of hours - although it felt like it went by quicker than that!... read more Graham, our tour guide, narrated our walk with stories about everything from Agatha Christie to the evacuees of WW2 and came across very knowledgeable. Although we thought we knew a bit about the area already, we were surprised at how much more we learnt! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to find out more Torquay and the surrounding area! We hope to do another one of the tours in the near future.

We spent two nights in Babbacombe and did this walking tour on our first day -- but it was so good we booked a second tour for our final day.... read more The second one was the Agatha Christie themed tour and it was utterly fascinating - we learnt about every element of her life whilst seeing the beautiful sights of Torquay. The guide, Graham, was extremely friendly, informative and was full of stories that were the perfect balance of entertaining and informative. Highly recommended, whatever your fitness level.

Graham didn’t just take us on a walk but rather a historical adventure around Babbacombe. From the first step he related interesting information about the people and places that lived... read more or visited this delightful coastal town through the ages. Featuring Oscar Wilde, John Lee and Queen Victoria’s lady in waiting, to name but a few; Graham told fascinating stories whilst we walked down to and along Oddicombe Beach. The funicular railway brought us back to Babbacombe and the end of our tour. It was fun and informative and for that we highly recommend and thank Graham.

As every reviewer has written Graham is an outstanding guide. My wife and I took the Agatha Christie tour on Sept 23rd and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although we have read... read more a few of her novels the majority of our knowledge of her works comes from TV and film. However, as a result of Graham's tour we have both promised to rectify that. We found Graham to be extremely informative but also presented the information as if we were friends out for an afternoon walk in a very relaxed, small group. Graham took us around a number of locations which we had already seen during out stay but had no idea what they actually were which was an added bonus for us. At the end of the tour he was also kind enough to spend some time with us discussing the best places to eat and visit for the remainder of our stay. Therefore, I would recommend Graham as being an essential part of anyone's stay in Torquay and will be going on another tour with him when we return. His tour was definitely a highlight of our stay. Thank you!!

It was full of interesting and quirky facts and the treasure hunt for... read more the kids was a nice touch, which our 9 year old in particular enjoyed. As locals we were amazed by how many historical facts we didn't know and astounded by how much history there is on our doorstep.
The circular tour was enhanced by Graham's use of a tablet to show us photos and videos of places and buildings in their heyday.
We are a family of four (children aged 9 and 13) plus a dog and we all really enjoyed our afternoon which the drizzly weather didn't spoil. We'll certainly try one of his other tours soon.
We would definitely recommend English Riviera Walking Tours for people of any age - tourists and locals alike.

Torbay at War tour
Love walking and Ive always been interested in the Second World War so Grahams' "Torbay at War" tour ticked both those boxes for myself and a... read more pal of mine. I always judge a tour by how many times you hear "wow i didn't now that" (or words to that effect) and Mark and myself uttered them on numerous occasions. Graham genuinely took us back in time and surprised us as to the high profile roll that Torquay in particular took in the war. We'll be booking another of Grahams' tours as soon as its safe to do so. Thank you Nigel
